Fasten your seat belts because we’re heading into severe turbulence. Astrologers have been watching the coming months and years for some time.
The aspect Astrologers have been watching closely is the Uranus Pluto square which the Arab Spring and Occupy Wall Street so nicely kicked off for us in 2011. On June 24, Uranus in Aries will be in an exact challenging square aspect to Pluto in Capricorn-- an aspect we’ll keep revisiting between these slow moving planets until 2016. With the build up to the exact square, we've seen a surge of aggression (Uranus in Aries) in the Middle East-Syria, and tumultuous financial markets (Pluto in Capricorn). I would expect to see even more of it in the coming months and years. It’s all about freedom (Uranus) and the civil rights or interests of the individual (Aries) bumping up against established power (Pluto) structures (Capricorn) similar to what we saw in the 1960’s when Uranus and Pluto were sitting together in the sky in Virgo. People are mad, want their freedom and they’re not going to take it anymore. You can see this play out somewhere in your personal life and on the global stage. As I’m writing, I’m watching CBNC where there are several shareholder revolts going on at annual meetings within a number of public companies. Great example of this energy in play.
If all that wasn’t enough to get a fire under you, on June 4, we have the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius with Mars close by adding aggression to the wound. You usually feel the effects of an Eclipse several weeks before it’s exact. Your nerves are on edge with the Sun in Gemini opposing Moon in Sag. You may lack visibility on where you’re headed next. Just put keep your seat belt fastened and breathe slowly.
On June 4-5, Venus in Gemini squares Mars in Virgo. When Venus squares Mars, you want some romantic attention and it may not come from the person others would expect it to come from. Venus is the planet of love sitting in the chatty sign of Gemini, so you want to socialize while Mars in Virgo can be communicative but somewhat stuffy and particular. In your relationships, one person may play the social butterfly while the other is playing the mean, critical, demanding one. As a result, you may find your pleasure elsewhere.
On June 6, the Sun in Gemini conjuncts Venus in Gemini—a double social dose of chatty Gemini. You’ll feel like getting out and having a good time. New people and places are interesting to you and you feel like turning on the charm. Great for date night, entertaining friends or reading a good romantic novel to get your mind in the mood.
On June 7, Mercury goes into Cancer, making you feel extra sensitive about what others say. Also on June 7, the Sun in Gemini squares (challenges) Mars in Virgo. Someone may want you to stay focused on the details (Virgo) but you want to talk and connect with people. The two energies clash putting you in a pissy mood.
On June 11, Mercury slides into the Uranus-Pluto square forming a challenging t-square pattern. Mercury in Cancer will square Uranus (Freedom and Change) in Aries and oppose Pluto (power) in Capricorn (structure). Mercury rules transportation and communication in the sign of the Cancer (home or homeland). It will be touching off the volatile Uranus Pluto combination, no doubt making for some unexpected national news—which may be explosive. In your personal life, you may get into heated arguments and power struggles where you or the other party may do or say something completely unexpected. Anger and hurt feelings are the result.
Jupiter moves into the sign of Gemini on June 11, for a 12 month stay. We’ll be talking (Gemini) about events related to established religious organizations (Jupiter) caught in the cross fire of scandal and upheaval reflected by the Uranus Pluto square.
By June 13, things calm down a bit when the Sun in Gemini forms a harmonious aspect to Saturn in Libra. It’s a great time to communicate (Gemini) your feelings about a relationship (Libra) issue. It’s a good energy for putting your ideas to work for you by planning and focusing even though those plans may change fairly quickly later in the month. It’s usually a good energy for making a commitment, but there are so many aspects tossing and turning this month that it may be better to just keep your seatbelt fastened and focus on what you need to get done today. Good day for an interview or meeting.
The New Moon occurs in Gemini on June 19. It’s a good time to write or call someone you haven’t spoken to in a while. It’s an extra dose of communicative Gemini—great for attending parties, seminars or meetings where interactive feedback is important.

On June 20, we have a minefield of aspects. Venus in Gemini is inconjunct Pluto in Capricorn causing issues of jealousy and power—one wants to flirt and circulate, the other wants established order and control. We have Mercury in Cancer in a challenging square to Saturn in Libra causing frustration, hurt feelings and maybe digging in your heels. While this is playing out, Venus in Gemini is in a harmonious sextile aspect to Uranus in Aries—the sirens call of fun, flirting and adventure. If you don’t get out and play, you may feel like a kid punished in his bedroom while everyone else is out having fun.
The Sun enters the sign of Cancer on June 21 where the focus for the next 30 days is on family, memories, nurturing others and whatever brings you safety and comfort.
The Sun enters the sign of Cancer on June 21 where the focus for the next 30 days is on family, memories, nurturing others and whatever brings you safety and comfort.
June 23rd is great day to get creative when the Sun in Cancer makes a harmonious trine to Neptune in Pisces. It’s a great day to spend at the beach or lake (Pisces) with family (Cancer). You’ll be feeling dreamy, romantic, creative and caring.
From June 24-June 29, Jupiter in Gemini is in a challenging square to Neptune in Pisces. This aspect causes confusion and a lack of clarity regarding spiritual and religious beliefs. It may tie in with the scandal at the Vatican where shocking revelations could be the order of the day causing some to question their faith and trust in spiritual leaders.
Saturn goes Direct in Libra on June 25, plans and work matters that have been stalled may see some momentum and movement again. Libra represents Justice. Saturn represents authority. Around this date, we may see the Supreme Court rule on healthcare which may produce of few surprises.

Venus goes Direct in Gemini on June 27, the time for reflection regarding our personal relationships has ended and now we need to move forward with the information we gleaned from our introspective period which started in mid-May.
June came in like a lion and will go out like one too. Similar to the moving and shaking Mercury did at the beginning of the month, on June 29, the Sun will takes its turn and step into a volatile t-square pattern with the Uranus Pluto. The Sun in Cancer represents what makes us feel safe, bumps up against the energy of revolution. Put them together and you have a tumultuous play of energy requiring a Handle With Care label. It may very well represent a homeland security (Sun in Cancer) threat and/or a threat to a world leader (Sun). We’ll see explosive energy in our personal lives which will be reflected in the evening news.
This month, keep your seat belts fastened until the pilot announces we’re out of harms way. Personally, you may have to climb to higher altitudes (Prayer) to peacefully move through the month.
