It wasn't until the end of the show that I grabbed by pen and paper and wrote down what Deepak calls "5 Meaningful Questions" that everyone must ask themselves in order to live a spiritual life. Deepak calls it your Soul Profile. He says that when you ask these questions, life will move you into the answers through synchronicities, intuition and relationships. These meaningful spiritual questions to ask yourself are:
1. Who Am I? (Hint: this does not involve what you do for a living)
2. What Do I Want?
3. What is My Purpose?
4. What are My Unique Special Talents and Gifts?
5. What Do I Expect from a Meaningful Relationship?
In order to answer these questions you must ask, Will the answer make me happy? Will the answer make other people happy too? If it's a win-win, then go for it! Oprah says that when you can answer these questions, then you're on the path to spirituality.
I'm not Deepak or Oprah, but I always say that life is like the Joe Jackson song, "You Can't Get What You Want, (Till You Know What You Want)."
If you don't know what you want, start asking yourself these questions and be open to the answer when it presents itself. You might have to ask yourself several times. Write down it down when it comes to you. Just by asking and being open to receiving the answers, life will start moving you in the right direction down your spiritual path...which may be a very different path than the one you're on now. That's when life starts to get interesting.
