My Journey with the Angels

I have been requested to write about my journey with the angels and guides—I suppose the person making this request meant how I came to work with them.

My first encounter with an angel (and only time I have seen one) was Christmas Eve 1962 or 1963. I have to confess that it has been long enough that I have forgotten the precise year this event happened. What I do remember is that I was walking across the church parking lot with my family to go to Christmas Eve service. I looked up into the cold mostly clear sky and saw a figure in white kneeling. I found out years later that this was one of my angels, Michael. I do understand the irony of regularly working with angels and guides but not seeing them.

Many years passed. Around 1992 or 1993 I read a book called Ask Your Angels. The authors described a set of oracle cards that you could make for yourself. I did this. I drew a card several times that talked about automatic writing. During that I time I was consulting a channeled being by the name of O’Brien from time to time. He suggested that I try automatic writing one day.

So, I did. Now this process was slow with only a word or phrase coming through at first. It was some time before I started to receive sentences. It also took some time for me to realize that I needed to ask for clarification (and still do from time to time). My sense is that I was not a clear channel at that time as some people might call it. The consistent work and dedication paid off over time. For a very long time I would routinely ask at the end of a session whether any of the answers were mine. It occurred to me that I could have my own agenda or view point, and, yes, the answers were mine at times. I still ask them this occasionally.

They told me at one point that they on occasion would tell me what I wanted to hear to keep me going with the process or because I just really wanted that answer. I asked them to stop doing that as I need to have their answer come through and not mine, even if it was an answer I did not want to have. Frankly, they still occasionally do this, but much less often. This usually happens when it is something I would like to do but they are neutral about. I still ask them to stop doing this.

At about the same time as I started this process, I started meditating. One evening, I had let my head lower so that my chin was almost resting on my chest. I suddenly felt what seemed like a hand being gently placed under my chin and lift my head. I was given information that this was one of my angels named Arianna.

I would ask from time to time who was with me and would be introduced to new angels and guides who are working with me. Yes, there are angels, spirit guides, dragons, animal guides, divination spirits, and fairies, although I do not have any fairies working with me. I would not be surprised to be told that there are other types of metaphysical beings who work with humans.

I worked with my angels and guides mostly for myself although I slowly told a few people and would do some short readings for them. I am sure that my initial readings were not necessarily the most accurate. I do know that, as I have cleared the channel, the information that comes through now can be amazing. It was not until after about 14 years that I felt confident enough to start working as an intuitive on a full-time basis for others.

Everyone’s experience with the angels and guides will be unique because each human being is unique. My sense is that our experience can be colored by preconceived notions and existing belief systems. It is helpful to try to put those aside when working with angels and guides because the universe is wild, wacky and wonderful, and we might miss out on that if we are too firm in our beliefs.

A message from the angels and guides: “We are here to help you and are eager to do so. Just ask and you may be amazed.”
