First of the odds and ends: Just yesterday I wrote about thinking it was easy to walk to and from the local bead store but a lot tougher to walk to and from the local health food store. Well, this morning I walked to and from the local health food store and am fine. Some of my muscles were not happy to begin with and let me know about it. However, they loosened up over the walk and stopped complaining.
One limit dissolved, although I imagine that I will not make either walk if it is 10 degrees or 90 degrees and really humid out.
Second of the odds and ends: I saw a video on the blog Getting Stitched on the Farm that made me want to donate to the building fund of a small library in western Massachusetts. The video can be found in the March 7 post on Getting Stitched on the Farm: http://getting-stitched-on-the-farm.blogspot.com/. If you decide to help out (which I finally just did), you can donate at www.mnspear.org. Please check out the video. Please donate. They need a whole lot more money to meet the required match amount by the deadline to receive funding from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to be able to replace the existing inadequate library.
Third of the odds and ends: Did you know that the honey bees are in trouble? Häagen-Dazs has a website through which you can donate towards saving the bees. Have I done it yet? No. Is it still on my list to do? Yes. For giggles, you can send create a bee and send a bee email to someone.
It’s a lovely day in my neighborhood, and I am glad that I was able to enjoy part of it before buckling down to some tasks.
