In watery cancer,
our emotions
easily take the shape
of another’s container,
another’s pattern.
Flowing to Scorpio
one can live in
the defensive form
of the scorpion,
seeking to sting.
Believing that
protection somehow
from the great shoe
that might descend
from the sky.
Or with evolution,
Scorpio’s emotion seeks
the space of an eagle
flying over it all
to “get” it as a big picture.
Emotionally understanding
the “other” never even saw you.
And seeking, ever seeking
finally the acceptance of the dove.
Bringing peace to self
and accepting others where they are.
In Pisces, the final water sign
one can be the Christ martyr,
nailed to the cross of victimhood,
or move to the recognition
of the Creatress both within
and without,
Sitting in the lap of the Creator
radiating irrepressible golden light
to all.
